Your Requests

If you are a children’s hospital, hospice, or family member of a child/young person with a life-limiting condition. Please feel free to contact us with a request to campaign for you. See below for what you can apply for and the conditions required for eligibility.

Children’s hospital wards & hospices

Children’s hospital wards and hospices can apply for grants through Wonder Wards to renovate/refurbish their children’s wards/rooms. Pending the ward is used for children with life-limiting conditions. They may also apply for toys, gadgets, or technology that will bring a smile to the faces of their young patients.
Wonder Wards will either provide an immediate grant, or campaign over the course of a year to raise the money for the grant.

Eligibility

• Must be a hospital ward or hospice for children and/or young people (25 and under) with life-limiting conditions.

• Grants and toys/technology are offered with the small condition that Wonder Wards can have photos taken of the progress and results. To be used on our website (Permission will always be sort for any potential images of children in shot).

Wonder Wards provides the funding. But we do not provide the designers or the renovators. Although, if required we will endeavour to help.

The Children and Young People

Wonder Wards would like to provide children with their wishes. But obviously, this is within reason. As a small charity, we may not be able to fulfill all wishes applied for. But please don’t let that stop you! We will do everything we can to bring a smile to your family members’ faces.

Eligibility

• The term ‘Children and young people’ is defined as 25 and under.

• Wonder Wards will be required to contact the Hospital or Hospice caring for the child/young person. This is to ensure our charity purposes are not being exploited by those with no legitimate claim to use our help. (If preferred by the family, we do not require details of the child’s medical status. Just confirmation of a life-limiting condition).

• Wonder Wards offers wishes with the small condition that you consider allowing us to have photos taken of the child receiving their wish. Or be provided photos by the family if preferred. These are to be used on our website, and on our ‘News’ page, and will help promote the charity to potential donors. So that we can grow and help many more families. (Permission will always be sort for any potential images of children in shot).  Please be prepared to be contacted by Wonder Wards, in order, so we can provide the best possible help in bringing a smile to your loved ones’ faces.

• Wonder Wards will require all invoices for work/materials for requested grant/wish, before the funds are transferred. Except in exceptional circumstances, Wonder Wards will pay the invoices directly up to and not surpassing the authorised grant amount.

• Please read our Grant Making Policy for full details.

• Wonder Wards reserves the right to pull funding in the case of any eligibility or ethical breach.
